Claudia Borella (b 1971) is an internationally acclaimed, kiln-formed glass artist with a reputation for creating both sculptural and wall artworks with a focus on the subtleties of colour, opacity, pattern and textural form.
The Brief
Borella was looking for personal platform to showcase her works, and provide an option for people to buy her works online. Previously only available to purchase through private galleries, Borella wanted her works to be more internationally accessible. Especially as people have been more accustomed to purchasing online during the pandemic.
The Background
Claudia Borella is an internationally renowned glass artist based in Whanganui, New Zealand. She has won numerous international awards and is represented by many collections and museums worldwide including that of Sir Elton John.
The Strategy
The website is first and formost a central place to celebate Borella as an artist. As well as displaying currently available works, the website displays selections form the catalog of work that can be found internationally.
As an influencer in the glass art community, this platform also allows her to share news, and continue to be a pioneer in her field.
What was important was to have a website that complimented the beauty of her works.
Talk about breaking through the glass ceiling!!
