Ruby Duncan—A Mother Potter Website Design
Bringing contemporary and practical ceramics into homes
Ruby Duncan is Whanganui-based potter who has been working with clay for several years. She has a passion for how we create a nurturing environment for others to thrive in.
In her home based studio, she loves to work with a variety of clay bodies, creating a variety of textures and shapes. While Ruby began as very much a hand builder, she has come to love the rhythm of making on the wheel and the pleasing symmetry you can create. But she will always produce a variety of forms and styles.
She is constantly amazed at the resourcefulness and creativity that comes to hand where resources are limited. In this light, she also tries to keep her prices affordable, hoping they are accessible to as many as possible. Along with affordability, Ruby wanted those outside Whanganui to be able to access her work, via an eCommerce website. This is where Tanker came into the pitcher (pun intended).
