Simon Devitt Website Launch

One of the pleasures of creating websites is getting the opportunity to work with other creative people on theirs.

Tanker has recently delivered a brand, spanking new site for Simon Devitt, one of New Zealand’s foremost photographers of architecture.

His brief was simple – “Show me, don’t tell me” – which aligned with his personal philosophy.

Simon required a site that showcased his images in easily accessible navigation, provided an area for him to post the latest news and reviews, as well as a separate part to promote his pet projects, such as the recently published photobook Ripe Fruit vol. 2: Tony Watkins.

To ensure the images are the heroes, the design of the site is kept as simple as possible, allowing each gallery to reflect the personality of the architecture that Simon has photographed.
